Industrious little market
The Little Industry Café has brewed up a local handcraft market, called Little Market, next to the café. Locals can not only enjoy their coffee, but also have a look at their cool, funky, vintage crafts that are great quality and locally made.
Koyal and Nes are both personally involved in creating arts and crafts. They came up with the idea to start up a market day, to sell their products, and also to promote local artists and designers. They would love to create a community vibe, where people can get together and enjoy fine NZ-made goods, as well as great coffee and food. Nes, who is in charge of organising the market, has found a variety of things for everyone, from printed cards to hand-knitted beanie’s, and jewellery.
The first handcraft market is set for Saturday 27th July, from 9am-2pm, and will continue every second Saturday of the month. Café owner, Koyal, is excited for the day, “There is something for everyone.”
Check out Little Industry Cafés Little Market at 47 Princes Street. There will also be face painting for the children on opening day.
